One of the best tips I have ever been given, and that I want to pass on to you today, is to cook a whole chicken in the crockpot on Monday. Not only is it healthy, but it saves you some moola as well!
When you get home, not only will you have dinner ready, but you can tear apart and divide the chicken into baggies for meals for the next few days. For my husband and I, one chicken lasts about 3 days. If you are single, this could feed you for a week! (This could work for a whole family as well, provided you get a big chicken!)
Wal-Mart has whole organic chickens for a very economic price!
Usually my meals break down to something like this:
Day 1: BBQ chicken legs/wings, baked sweet potato, & green beans
Day 2: Casserole using one of the chicken breasts (such as the Quick and Easy Chicken Garbanzo Nachos)
Day 3: Chicken Spaghetti (such as Pretty Mama’s Salsa Spaghetti)
