7 Tips to Shopping Healthy (On The Cheap)

Posted on
  1. Shop on the outside aisles. Try your best to stay out of the inside aisles where all the tempting processed junk food is sold.
  2.  Buy produce that is IN SEASON and/or on sale.
  3. Sign up for home-mailings and coupons for organic and natural products.  Click below to check out this great list that Famliy Health and Nutrition has compiled.  http://www.family-health-and-nutrition.com/healthy-living-resources.html
  4. Buy in bulk, preferably when on sale. (I buy a lot of ingredients such as flours, shredded coconut, etc on Amazon.com.)
  5. Buy meat when it is on sale and freeze whatever you will not be using immediately. *Note: Most Wal-Marts now carry organic chicken and ground turkey at reasonable prices. Be sure to check your local Wal-Mart!
  6. Go in with a few family members or friends and buy in bulk.
  7. Cowpool- Go in with a few family members or friends and buy half a cow or a whole cow.

About HnB4life

Hello There ! My name is Tiffany and I am on the journey to find balance in life! Now, I’m not talking about anything kooky or mystical, but real true balance and health in all areas: physical, spiritual, and emotional. I figured I was not the only one looking for these things, and thus this blog was born. I am not an expert in all things healthy nor is my life 100% balanced. However, I have been on this journey for a quite a few years and have learned some things along the way. One of those things is that the start of a healthy and balanced life is a relationship with Jesus Christ, my Savior, my Friend, my Strong Tower, and my Balance in those completely unbalanced moments. If you’d like more information on knowing Jesus Christ, please click here http://www.gotquestions.org/personal-Savior.html Welcome Friend, I look forward to our journey together.

  1. Good tips! Costco also carries organic chicken parts and whole chickens and pasture-raised ground beef.
