I just wanted to let you know about a great deal that I found at Kroger this morning. I went in expecting to find it for the sale price of $1.19/lb and was pleasantly surprised to see the price was actually $0.79/LB. I bought 4 whole chickens for about t $3.50 each. I make whole chicken once a week and then use the meat to make 3-5 meals during the week. (Click here for a great crockpot whole chicken recipe.)
Then, I was super excited when I found the Perdue Perfect Portions Chicken Breast for $2.00 per bag on manager’s special. (That bright orange “manager’s special” sticker is one of favorite things about Kroger! It makes my heart skip a beat when I see it.
) These are normally priced between $7-$9 each.
I got all the chicken in the picture about for $20!! This is a great deal for all-natural, HORMONE FREE chicken.
I was also about to score Organic Celery on Manager’s Special for $0.99 (normally $2.49) and Organic 3 lb bag of potatoes for $1.29 (normally $2.79) which I plan on flash freezing….but more on that later.
Be sure to stop by your neighborhood Kroger to stock up on chicken and whatever else you need that has that special orange sticker on it
.
